The flora near the valvan dam is a very nicely manicured park of various herbs, plants and eco-huts. Vishwasrao sir had explained us many species of plants. I sought to record below ones: Stivia, Bixa and Akkalkada.
Stivia
Stevia is a sweetener and sugar substitute extracted from the leaves of the plant species Stevia rebaudiana.
Bixa (Or so-called lipstick tree) is a natural color that can be used in Food.
and Akkalkada is popular as a food spice. It has a tingling effect when applied on a tongue!
And, then these plants were watered in a very unique way of pumping while taking swings!
